See, I was in Dolores park the other day, and I constantly overheard parents telling their kids to be careful, and not to do things, and to be safe, and all that, no matter how benign the things they were doing. Don’t you think this constant voice of safety first could damage kids mentally? This is why we have so many cowards and hypochondriacs.  Parents should be telling kids to have courage, to take calculated risks, to be adventurous! These things are important! This is why I hate how all playgrounds have been made ’safer’. Dangerous play equipment teaches kids their own limits! It gives them mettle at an early age! But this is the great thing about parenting. Everyone gets their own chance to teach their own kids how to live, and I’m going to get a chance to do it my way, and that way will be totally awesome. TOTALLY AWESOME in caps even.

The stay at home father theory: I’d be totally happy raising kids at home and letting the woman work. I don’t understand why women hate all this cooking cleaning taking care of kids stuff. It sounds kind of awesome. Especially if someone I love pays for me to do it. Obviously I’m going to get my doctorate and all that, but how cool would it be to be Dr. Kyle, stay at home scientist! Now I’m just ranting

Acrobaticals! I’m totally in love with my Chinese Acrobatics class. I’m already planning on increasing my intake of body punishment next semester by adding a Stretching Intensive course and Aerial Conditioning.  My acrobatics teacher says this will basically turn my body into a monster and I’ll be able to do lots of cool things. Already I’m getting better at standing on my hands and what not. Seriously, Circus Center, I totally reccomends it!

Battlestar Galactica is an awesome show! WATCH IT. And play close attention to the Cylon Sleeper agents. They are among us! Right now! Seriously. My life has strange parallels to Helo’s.

And St. Valentine’s day happened! Many of you probably rocked the pillow fight, I decided to abstain this year for a variety of reasons, including timing, and a lack of a pillow. I did have a date though, we ent out for dinner and had lots of good conversation and I suspect a lot of fun. It has only become complicated since then however, which is a shame. Who knows… I never seem to. My dating strategy needs to be somet— Hahah Jewel just came up randomly on my iTunes, but the shitty Jewel from that Album she purposefully made bad… Damn you Jewel — something along the lines of being awesome and just letting it happen. My attempts to make anything work on not work never seem to have any effect at all I’m totally running out of time to discuss these things… but there’s more to come in the future, I assure you.

De/Vision - I love De/Vision with all my heart. I like to call it romantic man music. They played a great set, an updated version of “Your hands on my skin” which is totally hot and awesome, and it was on St. Valentines day which made it pretty nice. They were very dancey, very friendly, and I’d see them again in a heartbeat!

And One - And One was just two nights ago on Tuesday. Hot Damn! I brought Cassidy and met up with Kimber and Bruno there. They rocked the fucking house and we didn’t stop bouncing till they finally left after a huge set (except for Kim who couldn’t handle the awesome’ness of Getting Closer and had to flee to the outside world).  I love the androgynously sexual stage show, the sly winks and giggles, and the huge energy these fellows have. BADASS! They certainly cemented their position in my top 5 bands for years to come with that show (not that they’d ever really been shaken anyways).

In a few weeks Iris is coming to DNA, which will be great too. I will totally fuckin be there!

Cassidy finally went and saw Cloverfield without me thank god. I didn’t like Blairwitch, I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t like Cloverfield. The silly review in the onion did it for me. Assholes, all of them!

In the soccer world, Arsenal pulled farther ahead of Chelsea and ManU again. Bleh. Good for Cassidy, bad for me! Werder Bremen managed to not win as well, so it was a shafty weekend for my sports teams. And screw the superbowl, could have watched it, totally didn’t care.

Hummmmmm…. Thats it for nows!

My matress arrived this morning. I’m going to sleep on my own bed in my own house for the first time since May of last year. Its just too bad I’m all alone on such a rainy night
