Can’t say much, so I’ll say it all tommorow.

Thank’s Chrisk for keeping me around so long, was much fun this weekend eh?

Had a great day today, Tapespaz’s work is insane. I’m ending the night with a great episode of Gilmore girls my sister taped.

I’d better go……

Apr 222002

Excellent, this is the first time I’ve used my computer since Friday. In fact, last night was the first time I slept in my bed since Friday. Crazy

Friday night we wen’t to the Phoenix, it ended up being a crew of 15 instead of the smaller numbers I predicted. Chrism, Chrisk, Mo, Mariel, Kodi, Anjie, Haley, Adam, Troy, Keith, Derek, Matt, Anna and myself all attended. Funny thing was right as we got in I almost never saw anyobdy I knew, only Adam and Haley seemed to be findable. Oh well. Velveteen was decent, and I really liked American? Americana? Well anyways they had a keyboardist who was cool, and he sang with a robot voice. Fun stuff. On the way back I crammed into Mariel’s car because it seems that Matt had already left. 6 people to a Volvo is interesting, but I’m pretty sure it could fit more.

Back at Chrisk’s house his parents weren’t around so me, Derek, and Chrism stayed over. The next day we loafed around for way to long (We never left). Eventually our loafing was joined by other people and it became the party I mentioned in an earlier post. Decent party, no barf, no violence. I slept well to.

Next day me and Chris loafed some more until I realized it was 5, and I had to get to SR to get a book, and I had told Tapespaz I’d show up at her work in the mall and say hello. On that note, Carlton Cards is a rather looney place. I must have seemed like an idiot to Miss Tapespaz for I kept spinning around and staring at random things during our conversation because I was slightly overwhelmed. I won’t spoil the experience though. I suggest everyone try it out. In the mall I also got the Food Lover’s Companion. It’s a dictionary full of food terms, very nifty, and very frightening.

On the way home I almost died, that was swell. I was going down Mendocino at around 35, there were 2 lanes in my direction, and this purple Hona passes me and pulls into my lane with about 2 feet to spare, slows to my speed, then slams on the break and pulls a U-turn. The problem with this? She slowed to around 10 MPH with no warning. If I had been watching her and slammed on my breaks into a little rear skid, I would have crashed right into her. I hate drivers sometimes. If I had been in a car I would have slammed right into her tailside. Idiot! Idiot ! … Ah well, thus is life on motorcycles.

This week might be a good week if it gets warm. I’m still considering a road trip to Indio California for the Foo Fighters, that might be fun. Who knows though, the week is still young !

I took a test at one of the only places I will take a test (Thespark.com), this one is the Inner Child Test. If you’d like to compare results with me on any other test at thespark I use the adress Kyle@kylekyle.com, name is Kyle Tobener. oh yeah the results :

—————————————————————————————————————————————-
src="http://test3.thespark.com/childtest/award/cpif.gif"
border=1>

Newt
(Perverse Ignored Functional Child)

Your inner child is the Newt (PIFC). He or she likes to play in the mud of your psyche, pick your psyche’s nose and generally just chew on your psyche’s fingers. The result is a tangier, salty you. As a kid you *liked* extra-curricular homework and now the Star Trek DVD’s are collecting on the inside of your soul.

Most of your belongings are arranged in ornate piles and mosaic patterns.

Don’t be afraid of the sun. Come out of your hovel once in a while– it’s nice out there and there are some nice people to meet. Try and meet people similar to you though, because, let’s face it: you are a freak.
—————————————————————————————————————————————-

This was a very well done test, like at the rest at the Spark, it made me laugh quite alot. Some points of note in the wrap up : I’m currently collecting the Star-Trek DVD’s (outside, not inside), ornate piles of belongings are great. And in the past year I have left my hovel, quit my addiction to Everquest (A very long story marring my Freshmen through Junior years), and meeting all kinds of people. Yay~!~!~! A very astute test!

Well We’ll see how today goes, it really depends on alot. Really it does.

The man (Charlie Palmer) shows up at the resteraunt today. He’s one of the top 5 chefs in America, he’s my boss, and he’s scary sometimes. It’s like when Darth Vader shows up on the Death Star and everyone is all scared, yea. His wife is just as scary. So actually it’s like 2 Darth Vaders. Help Me…. Last night was an awful night, I had to work alot more then normal, but I won’t go into it.

I think I found my roomate. Like, one who actually is certain about everything. He’s awesome, name is Dan. I work with him, new him from highschool. We look alike to, we’ve been telling everyone we are brothers. Dan and Kyle Smith. It’s really funny, and we totally pull it off to. He’s one of the only guys I know who doesn’t drink or smoke, and still isn’t a tightass. We could actually be brothers hehe. It will be good, Santa Rosa, here we come :)

I don’t have any school today, tommorow, or Thursday. Like it matters though, I hardly have school anyway, and I still have to work a whole bunch. such a bummer.

I just gave Ben an account code. Maybe he’ll start tossing down updates from San Luis Obispo. Hurray.

I’ve been writing this for like 2 hours now, I’m way to distracted.

Garbage sold out over the weekend while I was at that party, that was my bad. I thought they went on sale this upcoming weekend. It’s no big deal though, we’ll go pick up some scalped ones. Last time there were 8 billion scalpers at the Warfield selling tickets, so it’s cool.

I just read something sad. Layne Staley has died. Suck. He was the singer for Alice in Chains. They found him dead in his apartment surrounded by heroine injection stuff. Reports say he’d been laying their dead for 2 weeks. Ouch. So here’s goodbye to Layne, a great singer and song writer, yet another soul brought down by drugs.

Jeez, that was a downer, sorry….

I hurt…

I’ve been been worked ragged. I swear to god. I’m still in a haze.

Monday night, instead of the average 5 tables, he’d just throw me a few extra to test my skills. So, my tables were the first sat, and last emptied. I had an average of 9-10 tables the whole night whilst everyone else had 5. I didn’t get home till 1am, but that’s because me and Brother Dan wen’t exploring, and found the coolest spot in the world, but of course, the location of said spot shall remain a secret for all time. I was sweating the whole night, and died in bed. Twice.

Then, Tuesday, he did it again just for fun. He must like me. But, I had Eric as my waiter, so we just made little jokes (yes, they were sick and sexual). It’s great, he loves how I make little names for people. Last night Raven (Or crow, I’m undecided) was in, and so was Friar Tuck. Friar tuck is bald like Picard, with the hair, only he looks like a priest. Raven has long black hair, always dresses in black, and has a gothy wife. Raven’s pretty cool. Eric also taught me the elite way to open wine. He’s so cool.
I’d give a sample conversation of Eric and me, but it wouldn’t have the sound effects we throw in, so not as good.

I got into bed by 1am last night, that was good, but then instantly it seems I had to go to work. 11 is way to early to be in work. Rather busy today, I ran alot. But the good thing is, I got off at 4:30. I’m so happy. I’m still left in a deep sense of suspense, but thats another story that may or may not resolve itself.

I have to go make a million photocopies now, and return some books to the library, and buy a binder, and possibly barbeque with friends. I may be back online later though. QUA!

Howdy!

Hey, guess what….. it’s Friday again!!! The day all the movies come out! let’s see, on todays roster we have :
Life or Something like it (Anjelina Jolie blond = ugh. might be decent though)
The Salton Sea (Val kilmer with tatoos, hurray!) <– want to see this one
Jason X (killer goes into refrigerator and comes out terminator)

Salton Sea looks good, but thats about it.

Friend Ben has started a cute little live journal of his very own. His user name is Necromagnet , he’s on my friends list now, and he goes to Cal Poly. Yay Ben! Ben is addicted to Everquest, but I think he may be approaching the time length to where I quit, and I think he might quit soon also. Hi Ben!

Me and Ben are playing Magic right now, he’s using l33t squirrel deck, I’ve got l33t Zombie deck. And I won 1 game, he won 2. I hate the squirrel deck… the Zombie deck is in testing stages still, but it’s still a great deck.

Well, I’m feeling happy and fine, the week is ending well. Things are resolving, time is moving forward, and in theory I will be 18 in 15 days (possibly 16). How many days are in April? Well, this is good. Why? Because lots of raves and club shows are 18+, and I always miss them. Soon to be fixed. Also soon to be fixxed (possibly) is my lack of a car license. A car license will never garauntee that I will drive a car though. I feel much more secure on the back of a motorcycle, despite the lurking cloud of death that follows me around. Well, considering how often I touch my computer on the weekends, this may be my last update.

Goodluck!

I wish I was a neutron bomb, for once I could go off

Good morning! Pip Pip! Jolly good and what not! It’s amazing. Saturday morning, and where am I? At home. How stupendous. Even more interesting, it’s 9 in the morning, and I convinced myself to be awake. I actually awoke at 8, but hadn’t wandered my way to Ms. Computer yet.

~ I wish I was a sacrifice, but somehow still lived on

Yesterday was peculiar. I called Cassidy and convinced him that he needed to come and watch an episode of Star Trek with me after work, then I went to go play Gran Turismo until he came. But strangely enough, Chrism just came in and suddenly he was there. Strange. I made Chrism start watching Gilmore Girls with me, and then finally Cassidy showed up and started watching it also. Soon enough, Derek comes walking in sweaty as all hell. He had performed his ritual “ride to Kyle’s on friday” trip. Suddenly, there were 3 people at my house, and of course I only invited one. That’s the excellent thing about making the meeting place 1 place all the time. Everyone always, and I mean always, meets up at my house. So everyone knows that if they want to do something, they best be coming to my house. Very strange, very cool.

~ I wish I was the messenger, and all the news was good

So everyone went to El Sombrero, then Longs. Then, we went to Santa Rosa. We sort of drove, around mostly, sometimes we almost went places then ended up not. Then we went to Scandia, and I played a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game, that was incredibly difficult. Derek played his sniper game. That was good fun. Then we kind of drove around some more, made haste to Santa Rosa again, reserved sometime at the place of pool playing. Then while we were walking waiting for an open table, we went walking up to 4th street, and me and Derek suddenly became very sidetracked. We glimpsed Evan in E-warrior, and suddenly we were overcome. Who wants to play pool when such computer gaming is at hand? So we abandoned Chrism and Cassidy to play at E-warrior till 11. It was gaming goodness. Me and Derek formed the very first Naked-man-Interdiction force. This was really funny at the time. It’s still pretty funny now. We kept yelling it whilst we played, things like “Naked mans INTERDICT!” We were totally annoying and loving it. Your allowed to be totally annoying when you’re winning. Then at 11, we bid a pleasant goodnight to Evan, and went off back to the pool place laughing about our own little inside jokes. When we got to the pool place, Cassidy and Chrism were sucking at pool. This was a goodness because we got to heckle them. They way me and Derek put it, we were “Heckling like there’s no tommorow or yesterday, possibly no present.” We would then follow up that statement by saying “But remember, there’s plenty of time like the present.” Maha! We made fun of their poor game like only best friends can. Phrases like “Touching the balls is like touching the dancers, you don’t do it” were flying the whole game. Me and Derek came up with some really funny ones, that I can no longer remember.

~ I wish I was the souvenir you kept you’re housekey on

The night ended, we all went home because I felt like getting up early the next day and writing this. So now it’s Saturday, and it’s not really warm yet sadly. If it was, I’d be on my to the river for some enjoyment, but no, slightly cold, so now I must wait on my schedule. Possibly some food from our understocked kitchen, and then maybe some more rest. Eventually I’ll be contacted by someone for some nonsense. This is my guess though: A bunch of calling, people will come to my house, some driving, some walking, eventually some food, probably more Santa Rosa walking, the mall possibly, then more food, a movie, and some sleep. That’s the average Saturday, and it does sound a tad un-fun today, but whatever, movies make everything better. I dunno though, sleeping some more sounds definitely great now. I’ll wait till 10. I need to fumble with my zombie deck.

My Birthday is May 11, so I think thats 2 weeks or so. I’m so lucky, I can actually tell my mother that I’m “her extra-special Mother’s Day gift.” I love it. I think a card might be neccessary this year though. When I turn 18 my Mother has suggested I get my car license, because according to her Tuxe’s and Motorcycle’s and dates with dresses don’t mix. I dunno though, if I stay on my current course, it would be fun to go on my motorcycle. A lack of a date would never mind. And yeah, I’d definitely need pictures though of a tux wearing motorcycle rider, that would be hilarious. Prom is like, after my birthday,…. Derek, when is prom? I think you know these things, or at least you should, being the first person to snag a date. Oh yes, Congratulations Derek, you’re courage, and fearlessness, on the field of date asking was commendable. You’re a shining example for the rest of the guys around you! Have fun with Anna!

~ I wish!

I think it’s time I went to bed, I guess I’ll come back later though. Ben, your little squirrel deck shall soon be r0xored. Just you wait.

~K

Ahh yes, time to put a little wrap up on my weekend with some choice words.

Saturday
I woke up, and lazed around for several hours. Didn’t get any homework done, wrote off a few e-mails, floated back to bed more than once, played Gran Turismo 3 for an hour or so, then joined Derek, Chrisk, and little Krak (Richard) for a trip to Santa Rosa. We parked in the mall parking lot, and went over to Santa Rosa Billiards for some pool, again (like Friday night). We played for 2 hours and I was awful. I think I made in like 6 balls the whole night. Derek had to pick up my slack, but my jokes were on par with the stupidity of the evening, so that was good. We eventually left and attacked a curb near Jesse Jeans with the Impala (it was actually an almost failed turn), that was pretty amsuing. After some more driving we made it back to Healdsburg, and we went to the house of a guy named Nate. There were close to 50 people there, all for some form of underground boxing. It reminded me of a very panzy version of fight club, with a ring, and boxing gloves. Chrisk fought someone and lost. Marc fought someone and got brutalized (poor Marc), and Chico kicked some guys butt. There were some other fights, and they were fun to watch, but I was torn. The whole event caused many moral qualms inside me. First off, besides there being like way to many people there that I don’t like, it was a very violent and mental assaulting affair. I hate being in places where people call others “pussy” every two words. It was like brutal drunk male night or something. To much testosterone and blood for me, and way to many awful people. I feel more comfortable when at E-warrior, or even some party with complete strangers. Oh well, it was an experience I had not yet had.

Sunday
I woke up far to early, sent some E-mails, did some browsing and downloading, then realized how freezing cold it was. I mean, it was cold. I was wearing naught but boxers, and wholy crap, I suddenly realized I was shivering and had goosebumps. You see what a computer does to me? I could ignore a nuclear winter if I had enough interesting computer material on my screen. Anyways, I retreated to my bed yelping. Once safely beneath my blanket, I called Matt, arranged a movie at 2:30, and fell asleep till 2. That added another 4 hours to my total sleep that night, a most successful nap. I took a shower, came out, got dressed, and then Matt instantly showed up. Perfect timing. We drove hastily to the Roxy, and when buying tickets they carded Matt and not me. I had to laugh at him for that. Good thing though, Matt Carries (haha get it, Matt CARRYs !!?) I.D. and I don’t. We saw The Salton Sea. It’s star was Val Kilmer, and it was very very good. Matt described it as Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, only more serious. Cassidy didn’t come, and he would have loved it. It was sad, funny, and brutal all at once. There was a guy without a nose that was really strange. There were some evil cops, some nice cops, there were many drug jokes, and a really sad scene where his wife is murdered. I won’t say anymore though. If Spiderman wasn’t coming out this weekend I’d go see it again so I could grok it more fully. Ahh yes, Spiderman this weekend. Friday in fact. I think I’m going to go pre-buy tickets for Friday on Tuesday. Spider-Man will be sooo cool. I hope Stan Lee makes some sort of cameo, that would be sweet!

I just found out Ben will be returning in time for my birthday. I’m not sure what is going to happen that night, but I want to get everyone to a certain place at a certain time for all kinds of merriment. As soon as I figure it out I’m going to tell everyone. We could totally swamp a resteraunt or something, that would rule! To bad I can’t send my parents to Disneyland for a week and throw myself a birthday party, that would rock. Who has an empty house in 2 weeks? Anyone? Anyone? OOOH Wait!!! Ice Skating would be so sweet! I haven’t been Ice skating in like 6 years. I dunno how that thought came into my head, but I really really like it. Hmm, I will ponder this. Veryvery excellent indeed.

Anyways, back to my homework. School tommorow and what not!

Apr 292002

Ok, so last night I didn’t sleep much because I did something dumb. I listened to all 6 of My Blind Guardian CDs in chronological order. It was fun, I’m surprised I stayed awake so long, but now I’m tired and cannot concentrate on much. So, I started playing with el digi-cam de crapo. I will show you the results (I made all the pics kinda small so they would load quickly) :

In this picture we have a shot of my little hutch thing. It’s like a dresser with all my crap in it rather than my clothing (you’ll see where my clothing is shortly)
1. Cellphone – Motorola v60c . It’s nice, it’s aluminum, and now alot of people have it it seems. They reduced the price I think.
2. Dilbert of the Day Calendar – The only calendar I have, with daily doses of Dilbert wit. I love it. Above it is a stack of old dilberts of the day. I’m not sure why I don’t throw them away.
3. Dice cup – In here reside all the D 6′s,8′s,4′s, 10′s, 12′s and several other strange warhammer dice that I’ve collected over the years. My mian set is black with orange speckles and red does if I remember correctly. These are used for various random RPG’s, CCG’s and board games.
4. Mug – It says “kyleKyle.com” on it. It’s very nice, I have a dozen more somewhere, but I use that one to hold things like pens. Sometimes change.
5. Book – This book is that big huge collection of all the Hitchhiker’s Guide to The Galaxy series by Douglas Adams, purchased via Amazon.com. No science fiction fan should be without this.
6. Text Book – “Microsoft A+ certification training kit” Translation – The big book of computer hardware. Big read, very excellent. I pull this sucker out anytime I want to do something to my computer. I like to check and make sure what I’m doing isnt dangerous to my computer :)

Here we see another shot with the lower section opened and shown.
1. All my VHS tapes stored here. My collection is made mostly of random videos I bought at blockbuster for 6 bucks when I went to rent a video game. But, there are some quality videos. Three to Tango (My favorite romance), Chicken Run, some Wallace and Grommit, various Monty Python movies, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, Analyze This , and several more.
2. Binder’s – This is the binder section. Every Binder I’ve had since Junior high has gone here. Most of them with paper’s still intact. I’m sure I have some 8th grade algebra homework sleeping in their somewhere.
3. Motorcycle gloves – Bless these leather gloves, they saved my palms when I crashed.
4. Various books – JC text books, folders, binders, RPG books, so on.
5. CD Case – The black case I’m determined to fill. I think it holds 150 CD’s? possibly.

Here is a shot of my CD collection
1. Star Trek: The Next Generation Season 1 Collection on DVD – Straight forward. I’ve watched 8 of the episodes so far, and I’ve confirmed that I’ve seen all 8 before. My goal is to buy and watch all 7 seasons, and figure out how many I’d seen on TV prior to DVD viewing. My guess is all but maybe 5-6.
2. CD’s. Big stack, lots of CD’s. In my profile under interests I listed most of the bands contained within. The 3rd stack is growing, I think by the end of the summer I will have 4 piles. yay!

Here is a shot of my little green cash box. I got it when I was 8. The funny thing is, I put my money on top of it rather than in it.
1. The tootsie roll change container – It came full of tootsie rolls when I got it about 5 years ago.
2. Stack of 50′s – This is the stack of 50 dollar bills that goes to my mother at the end of the month. I pay her $500 a month for the motorcycle which I love so much. So far I’ve payed off $1500 dollars, and sadly the end of the month comes soon, which means I need to pay up soon hehe
3. The green Cash box – Contained within: Lighters, the case for the swissarmy knife I lost, keys for locks I cannot find, and some little pop firecracker things.
4. The Disposable Camera I’ve had for 4.5 months now. It has 5 shots left, I refuse to waste them on something boring. So far it’s been to Not So Silent Night, That big rave on new years, that big rave out in Oroville, and 2 other concerts. I wonder what the pictures turned out like!

A shot of the top shelf of Mr. Hutch
1. The frog, hes 1 of 3 that came in a set. He sits on this rock and covers his ears. He stands for all that is evil in this world. Within him lies the deception that brings this world down, and the naive, good hearted nature of the young. It is a symbol of something very strange to me. My words aren’t good enough to describe what that little frog means to me, but sufficed to say, I hate that frog, and he will probably still be in my possession when I die.
2. Eldar Guardians – Painted metal miniatures. Painted for me by my friend Ben Kantor, he did an excellent job. I never did get around to buying my own paints, I think I would have sucked anyway. They came from the game Warhammer 40K that we used to play. Fun stuff.
3. Baldur’s Gate II – My favorite computer game to date. That game is so much fun. I beat it with a ranger. He was so cool!

Here is where my clothing lie at the moment. Kind of gross, but It’s only because I’m to lazy, and the drawer I used to keep them in broke and now I can’t open it. Sometimes they go on my lazy boy chair, but lately I’ve been sitting in it to read so they stay on the floor.

What would a nerd who loves fantasy stories be without a sword? This is my scottish claymore.
1. Me – Nerd, who has a sword. Look, it’s my cheap Jane’s Addiction shirt thats a knock off of the Aerosmith design. I got it at shoreline when we were leaving. Jane’s Addiction was awesome btw :) .. Ohh thats cool to, the way the little medicine cabinet mirror catches the reflection from the other mirror. Neato.
2. Claymore – I like to play with it when I’m bored. I took that picture looking into the bathroom mirror in my room since nobody else was around to take the picture for me. The sword is 40″ long, and it’s alot of fun to play with. It’s a pretty scary self defense weapon I imagine also, but I haven’t had to defend my home from invasion yet. Bushes fear me when I come at them with a berzerker yell :)

Well, those are the pictures I took, hope you liked the little peak into my bedroom and my life. I think It’s time I read some other peoples Livejournals now!

HMMDAR!

Yesterday at work was scary. First of all, it was pretty busy, but it was ok because I was working with John (and John is cool), plus Eric and Dan were working (Eric is cool, Dan is my brother, future roomate). But then, at like 11:30 when we were going to leave the managers brought us all into this meeting room and started yelling about how somebody tried to steal this bottle of wine, and how they found it, and how they were positive it was someone in that room. And then they wrote all the names down and said we had better talk amongst ourselves and figure out who did it or we aren’t leaving. So, 2am rolls around, we are all really pissed, of course nobody confesses, and finally our boss lets us go even though he was amazingly angry. So, I got to bed at 2:30, I woke up at 6:15… if you do the math thats 3 hours and 45 minutes of slumber! w00! I’m on on of those lack of sleep moments where I cannot sleep right now because I forced myself to be awake at school, and now that I’m home my body still wants to be awake for a while. So, I’ll just reply to everyone’s Livejournals, right my own, and maybe take a nap.

At this point in my week, I want the week to skip ahead. It’s not that I don’t like the middle of the week or anything, I just have lots of questions that only time can answer. If only I could just take a quick peak at what I do this weekend, so I can spend the rest of my week until then feeling assured and confident and focused and all that nonsense.
