1. I had the best kiss of my life. Ever. Yes, it was fantastic! Tuesday the 9th, 2003, somewhere around 11:00 PM. I was walking Kiah to her Car, and right as we exited my apartment, the rain began a furious assault on Santa Rosa, and I really mean furious. There was pounding water, crashing thunder, unimpressive light flashes that could have been lighting somewhere in the distance… the whole bit! I grabbed her hand and we ran to her car with airplane wing arms hooting and hollering through my apartment complex! Sufficed to say, on reaching her car we had a long, breathless kiss in crushing rain and roaring thunder. Talk about dramatic! It was perfect. It raised the bar for any future best kisses I may plan on having, and shattered all previous competition. I was so destroyed afterwards, I kinda stumbled about in the rain after she left in a sort of shell-shocked state. I wokeup the next morning with a cold. It was worth it.
2. Went to the Academy of Sciences on Friday with a fantastic crew of personages! We all paired off and explored, it was pounds of fun! Big thanks to Fuscus for the free tickets, we wouldn’t have gone without your incentive! The following morning I woke to find I had actually slept well next to someone for the first time in my life. I mean, I’ve lain (or layed, or whatever) next to people and totally enjoyed it to the max, but never have I actually slept so well. Usually, I just lie there, snuggled up, unable to drift off. But, apparently, I fell asleep first, and kept my state until morning. I usually have a problem with being so close to someone, my mind just wanders and travels until the morning breaks… But Kiah and I have this amazingly perfect level of comfort. It makes me happy. I found myself so refreshed in the morning that, upon fully waking myself, I jumped out of bed, jumped into pants, and brought back some hotty fresh croissants from my favorite ‘lil spot. And, when combined them with some hotty fresh hot chocolate , I brought Kiah a fantastic breakfast in bed. She was rocked right out of her socks (she had to put them back on first, but it was worth the effort for the subsequent rocking)! Two cheers for breakfast in bed and fantastic Saturday morning.
3. In the later bits of Saturday night, I had the privilege of watching the fantastic spectacle that is Dan making ‘his moves’. I was awed by the glory of it all. He is as much if not more fantastic at his ladies skills than he claims I am! Go Dan Go!
4. Today Derek, Chrisk, and myself propelled ourselves up into Annadel state park. It was time for a little ‘boys only’ jaunt as it were, and there was much talking and teasing to perform all around. We ended up taking a nap on this little island in the middle of a flooded meadow. The sky was perfect view, and on one’s back, there was a complete lack of peripheral obstruction, so you could just soak in the blue like happy dancing apples. Then we hiked down and romped through mud, tall grasses, and all the like. It was swell.
Time for the rest of everything to occur. Chow!
