I lent my car to Jeremy last night, so he could drive to work in Guernville. That was a really big step for me, I’m very paranoid about lending my stuff, and Jeremy drives like a maniac. Luckily, my car came back in one piece and I saved his day. Good job me.
Work last night was dead, but fun. I just sat around for a long time. I talked to everyone a whole lot. I must comment, that I really like it when a table adresses me by name, or even asks to know my name. It makes me feel more human in a job where snobbery pervades. To many people come in and think that, because they are eating and I am serving, they are better. Being adressed by name humanizes the experience for both parties, and really makes me love a table and give them much better service. How strange. I think I’m going to start adressing people in the resteraunts I go to by name… if I like it so much, maybe they will as well.
I talked to this co-worker of mine named Derek quite a bit. He has to be the funniest guy in the world. He’s like, this shaved head white boy gangster type, that is quite a comedian. The strange thing is, he can straight talk an issue with more clarity than most others, and be totally sincere. We talked about relationships, girls, and work, and we can totally relate, despite his ‘player’ attitude. Uusually I can withstand his humor as well, but last night he made me blush a little with a shot below the belt. I won’t repeat what he said, but he referenced a very lovely female co-worker of mine, and using the help of another co-worker named Frank, I turned a wee red. I think the problem was they were right and I didn’t want to admit it. Haha, bastards….. but I swear she has a boyfriend. Anyways……..
Last night, after work, Jeremy and I went to Adels with My managers Wade and Eddie, the cook Rachel, and the bartender we bussers call Grandpa (he goes by JJ normally). Now, if you don’t know me very well, I talk alot. Jeremy talks even more. But at ‘family dinner,’ as we call it, last night, I have never seen Jeremy so silent. In this group, all you can do is sit and laugh as Eddie and Wade say the funniest things you have ever heard in your life. Eddie is a very obnoxious gay man, and Wade is a very intelligent, mild obsessive compulsive. Together, they are a riot. And the food, good lord…….. Adels treats us so nicely. It’s nice eating out with people who are all in the resteraunt industry. It’s like, we all understand. We left a $70 tip last night. How cool is that! We probably made Mary-Anne’s (the waitress) night.
Onto this morning! I woke up at 7:30 so I could run off to an orthodontist appointment at 8. That was decently quick, so no problems there. After that, a Croissant at my favorite little Cafe! A very pleasant breakfast indeed. Following that was the more empowered part of my morning:
I WENT JOGGING! WRAAA~~~! I donned my strange breathable gym shorts, snagged a water bottle, and did a little jogging number around Spring Lake. I walked and stretched for about .7 miles, then jogged all about the lake, and back to my car, which comes out to about 3 miles. I was panting quite a bit by the end. Thank god for the iPod! It provided me with wonderful beats the whole time, which kept me well empowered. I was very pleased that I made it the whole circumference of the loop without collapsing! Go me! I think I’m going to start doing that daily. Tommorow seems like a wonderful day to jog again! Is this excitement about running my legs ragged runner’s high? Must be, my legs feel like jello and I still want to run more! Bollux!
