Today was my first truly independent independence day, strangely enough! It felt gooooood!
I threw a spur of the moment Barbeque bash at my mothers house! It was all kinds of crazy fun. I took the gang to Safeway where we spent $100 on supplies, which was pretty surprising, and then we all gathered at her house on the porch! Surprisingly, about 17 people were there, several of which I had never met before. It was very pleasant indeed. Special thanks go to Matt for his excellent assistance, it probably would have sucked without him! Together, we Barbequed many burgers and hotdogs, and everyone ended up being very well fed. It was a most excellent barbeque, and I am so pleased we gad my mother’s back porch to do it on. I kinda left the place a mess, but I’ll go over tommorow morning and clean it.
We watched the Healdsburg fireworks, and for the second year in a row the finale was absolutely orgasmic. It was like flashy-light seizure-causing-japanese-anime style light overload! Totally enjoyable. Post that, we grouped back at Friend Kodi’s house to plan the rest of the night. Due to indecision, we sat around for about an hour, and several people drifted off. Then finally, decisions were made. One group moved off to the beach, whilst myself, Ben, Kodi, Derek, Mariel and newly met Stephanie stayed behind. We all felt that the beach would be to unorganized, and would possibly destroy our grade point average for fun beach trips. Instead, we sat on Kodi’s curb for several hours, ended up chasing after a search helicopter trying to get in it’s searchlight beam, and eventually all got drowsy on Kodi’s couches in her living room. It was swell. I’m curious about how the beach expedition turned out, but I’m glad I stayed behind to rest. I still have tommorow to conserve for!
So, all in all, awesome 4th of July! Tommorow equals work, then Actionslacks show, then possibly a late (very late) arrival to Haley’s Fake prom! Yay! I wonder if video camera’s are allowed at the slacks show……
