Here’s the scoop!
The new FLCL / Furi Kuri / Fooly Cooly Comes out July 22nd it appears. This is by far, one of the coolest animes I have ever seen. It uses bizarre references, animation quotes, and complete chaos to tell a wonderful story. If this helps, it’s by Gainax who have Evangelion as their claim to fame! So great. If you hang out at my house often, I might force feed you this in the near future anyway, I really want to watch #1 and #2 again!
Secondly, Cowboy Bebop: The Movie comes out June 24th, which is quite soon. I didn’t get a chance to go and see this in San Francisco, but Derek did, and he thought it was awesome! This series is also one of dee mostest amazing animes mon!
The third installment of this is .hack//SIGN Volume 2 . This was just recently release, and I’m hoping to get my hands on a copy sooner or later! The series is a blast. It’s about an online gaming world (like Everquest, or other incarnations), and a character who is stuck in the world, knowing nothing about an existing real life. It asks all kinds of strange thought provoking questions about the recent emergence of online worlds, while poking fun at them at the same time. This series looks to be a lot of fun.
