Yay, lots & lots & lots of food today! I’ve been starving myself since I moved out in preperation for today (just kidding)!! I’m having dinner with most of my immediate family, you know like a grandmother, aunts, uncles, cousins and my main family. It should be fun!
It’s been a week and a half since my evil weekend, and I’m officially doing great. That one Sunday I started feeling a bit depressed, but from that night on Derek never gave me a chance to feel sad. We spent almost every day last week watching movies, going to Ralph’s and laughing our asses off. It’s been great. I’m quite happy I have a friend like Derek to gabber my days away with.
On Tuesday night Derek and myself went to Slim’s and Saw Haujobb, Hocico, and Psyclone 9 (or some name like that). It was so much fun. That was the first industrial sort of show I’ve been to, and I absolutely loved it. Haujobb and Hocico are awesome, the show was exactly what I needed. I burned off all the energy and frustration I had hidden away, and came out of Slim’s feeling spectacular. Yay for Haujobb! Next time though I need to wear something a little more festive and interesting, that would be cool.
I’ve also discovered that lots of people I know have lots of awesome advice to give. The main advicee’s I give credit to are Scott the bartender, Tim the bartender, Friend Mez, Lindsay (or Cranberry heehee), and strangely enough my mother. 2 cheers for these people!
So, in summary, I think I’ve been able to move on quite successfully. I’m like one of those inflatable toy punching bags we all had as kids. I can get knocked down, but I’m very well grounded and I come right back up for more!!! Weee, anologies are fun. I must say it’s kind of amusing being single again, Sophie did an excellent job of boosting my level of confidence, and I’ve noticed I’m having a lot less trouble talking to the females.
